Escape Confusion is an escape room located in downtown Hanover, Pennsylvania. An ideal form of entertainment for families, friends, colleagues, leadership groups, corporations and anyone who likes a good time, our escape rooms foster teamwork and collaboration to escape in time.
Book your choice of escape room, show up 15 minutes early, get locked in, use your impressive deductive reasoning skills to solve our sophisticated puzzles and riddles and do your best to escape the space in 60 minutes or less.
Absolutely! Escape Rooms exercise your mind and ability for creative thought, sometimes making you look at problems in a unique way in order to find the solutions. Some are easy, some are more challenging, but all are solvable and require you to exploit the skill sets of your fellow players. Surprise yourself with the skills you contribute to the escape and enjoy the rush as the clock counts down. Communication is key!
The difficulty varies by room and all rooms are rated level 1?-5?, with 1? being the easiest. If you can read, write, and do basic math, you should have everything you need to escape our spaces.
Everyone can enjoy this type of entertainment, regardless of gender, education level, nationality, personality and age. Games are ideal for friends looking for something different to do on a Saturday night, families who want a new way to spend time together, leadership groups who want to give participants an opportunity to utilize leadership and team building skills, church groups, HR departments, management teams, etc. The list goes on, but you get the gist!

Whatever makes you comfortable. We keep the rooms appropriately heated and cooled for each season, so no need for your fur coat or swimsuit. Just make sure whatever shoes you wear, you can stand in them for up to an hour.
You are 100% safe and have nothing to fear. Our rooms are not designed to cause fear and if you are uncomfortable at any time for any reason, you can get out immediately. Our team monitors you throughout the entire experience as well and can assist if you need anything.
The door you enter though is never actually locked and if you need to leave the room, you’ll be able to do so at any time.
If this is your first ever attempt at an escape room, we recommend you start with Eleanor’s Eccentricities, which is the easiest of the three rooms. However, don’t limit yourself. Visit the Rooms page, read the descriptions and choose the room that piques your interest. Once you do one, you’ll want to come back and do them all. Check back often too. We are always dreaming up the next great escape to challenge your abilities.
The minimum number of players to book a room is 1, but our rooms are best when played with friends. 1 player may find it challenging to escape the room in the allotted timeframe. Ours rooms are typical best done with 4-8 players.
There is no minimum requirement to book the room. Once you book even 1 spot the whole room is yours! This allows you to reserve your room and then bring however many friends as you want up to the room maximum and everyone else can pay when they arrive. You never have to worry about strangers being placed in the room with you.
Our rooms can accommodate higher guest counts, but are designed with the recommended maximum in mind. Parties above the maximum may not feel the full experience. However, please give us a call and if the guest count is within reason, we will be happy to accommodate.
Absolutely! All of our bookings are private so once you book even 1 slot the whole room is yours!
We make every effort to start our rooms on time. If someone in your party arrives late we will allow them to join your game when they arrive. We do ask that your party tries to arrive 15 minutes early to allow time to use restrooms and go over all the information you will need before your escape begins.
Unfortunately, our escape rooms are located on the 3rd floor and there is no elevator access available. In the rooms themselves there is no heavy lifting, no need to climb or crawl and if you need, we can provide a seat for you in the room.
Guests under 18 must be accompanied by someone 18 or older to sign our waivers. Guests under 13 should have an adult participate in the escape with them due to the complexity of some of the puzzles.
All of our rooms are quite large and it is unlikely that you will feel closed in at any point. However, if you are uncomfortable at any time, you can let yourself out of all of our rooms at any point you wish.

Metered parking is available in various municipal lots and along the street at a rate of $0.20 per hour. Metered parking is free on Sundays, holidays and after 8:30pm.
